The TCLBA has formed an International Environmental Cleanup Alliance (IECA) of member engineering, science, and technology providers. The function of the IECA is to explore overseas markets that need our unique Hanford expertise to address environmental contamination issues and protect soil, water and air resources.
To identify and connect with qualified foreign prospects, we have worked with federal and state agencies that have mandates to help expand U.S. exports. We have had several productive interactions with the U.S-China Clean Tech Association, and we are considering a focused Trade Mission to China later this year. Additionally, we are working with the Port of Benton, TRIDEC, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), and our elected officials to explore a more coordinated, focused theme for the Tri-Cities region which leverages our unique Hanford experience and other attributes. Highlighting “clean tech,” for example, may more broadly encompass our strengths in energy, R&D, and environmental cleanup and protection, as it creates investment opportunities in the Tri-Cities.
Our IECA brochure describes our members’ expertise and collective capabilities for remediation and protection of groundwater and land resources. The brochure is available in English and Mandarin.
